🥰 [Rolife - Happiness] Miniature Memories: A Build That Holds Sentimental Value

I am so touched with all the beautiful builds and stories people are posting, but if anyone would like to share other/any builds that holds sentimental value for them, I would really love to hear about it :heart_hands:t3: Share a photo of a miniature build that holds a special memory or meaning to you. It could be a:

  1. Gift for a loved one.
  2. Replica of a meaningful place or object.
  3. Build that represents a milestone or achievement.
  4. A piece created during a challenging time.

I’ll start with my very first build:

I was going through a very rough time back in July and I felt the need to do something different than my usual routine of work and home. I stopped by at a local Homesense store and found the Sunshine Town Kit. As a crafter of all things, I thought let’s try doing Miniatures…. and so I did! For the first time in such a long time my mind felt quiet and I was able to focus on a task. I felt at peace for hours on end and I started building kits whenever my time allows. I am now taking it slowly, and it does help in the end of the day to have this alone and quiet time for myself, I always look forward building and listening to music, or watching a movie or putting on an audio book.

What a beautiful post! Thanks for creating this idea and also for sharing your own lovely story.

In my case, the three kits I’ve finished so far have a special place in my heart.

The first of them, the Seahorse Barque, is really meaningful for me because my father and grandparents made me love the sea and enjoy the pirate adventures, stories and movies.

Then we have the Glittering Water Lily and the Classic Carousel. Both of them were gifts for loved ones (the first one for my mum, who loves flowers more than anyone I’ve ever met, and the second one to my partner, since she’s a carousel lover and she found in it a cute design for the Christmas decorations).

Awwww, yay! :heart_hands:t3: Your story is making me smile so much! I love how each of your finished kits holds a special place in your heart, and the reasons behind them are just beautiful!

It’s so clear that you’re a total sentimental crafty, and I am HERE FOR IT!!! :cherry_blossom::two_hearts: I love that your dad and grandparents sparked a love for the sea in you, family traditions like that are the best! And gifting those kits to your loved ones? That’s just the most thoughtful thing! Your mom must be totally thrilled with the Water Lily, and your partner is one lucky gal to score that gorgeous carousel :wrapped_gift::heart: You put your heart into these gifts, and it shows!

Thanks for sharing your lovely story!

Thank you for your words, so lovely! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What can I say? I try to give everything I do a purpose, no matter how big or small that purpose is. Like the Dream Gift Factory I’m finishing now, that’s nothing special in regards of past meaning and is not a gift to anyone, but Christmas season is coming, this is the first one I’ll spend with my partner and I want to make a difference (no matter how small that difference is) regarding our home decoration. That’s special enough for me :stuck_out_tongue:

My most sentimental miniature that I have are the ones I gave to my mom.

Over the years I have enjoyed lots of different kinds of crafts too. It helps to be generally crafty when making kits like these.

Aww, that’s so sweet!:heart: I love that you’re putting extra thought into making this Christmas special with your partner. Creating something meaningful and handmade has always been my favourite thing to give and receive. I like the Dream Gift Factory, I honestly want one too! Also that is such a lovely way to celebrate your first Christmas together! What’s your partner’s style like? Are you going for a specific theme or vibe with your decorations? :christmas_tree::light_bulb:

That’s adorable, I would love my mom to get into this craft but she’s always on the go :stuck_out_tongue:

Giving your mom something handmade makes it extra meaningful. And I totally agree, being crafty can be super therapeutic and fun! Do you have a favourite craft or medium that you enjoy the most besides the miniatures?

Hahaha I mean I was told to rest but that does not include my hands. But aww thank you so much! I’m manifesting heaps of happiness for you too! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
