🥰 [Rolife - Happiness] Grateful for my kids for introducing me to Rolife

I’m very thankful to my kids (16/12 yo) who introduced me to the miniature world, particularly Rolife. Our first project together on August 2025 was the Honey Dessert Talk. We bonded over oopsies and successes and it warms my heart to make this as our gift to my stepdaughter and our way to build a stronger bond. Close to 20 projects later (and more to go) we’re still bonded by our love for making Rolife builds.

This is a cute kit. Love pink. It is nice when you have family member enjoy doing the same thing as you and joined in with building.

Thanks. My kids pretty much “saved my sanity”. We truly love building and sometimes we’d do show and tells.

Yes we love it!

Cute little cake shop.

I remember doing puzzles with my mom when I was a kid. Those were great memories.

@mchipman I think so many have cited the peace and relaxation that building gives. I always include the sense of accomplishment as well. From this group I have read the oopsies and this also makes me feel ok. I have broken pieces but then figured out to fix. I am amazed at what others have done and then am amazed at mine. When my family agrees, it makes me even happier. Kudos to your kids for finding Rolife, introducing you to it, working alongside of you, and celebrating the build!

My son introduced me to these when he was 30 years old. Since then I haven’t stopped doing them

This is such a warm and beautiful story. The way your kids introduced you to the miniature world and how it naturally became a space filled with laughter, small mistakes, and shared achievements is truly touching. Starting with Honey Dessert Talk and turning it into a meaningful gift for your stepdaughter shows how creativity can bring hearts closer. Nearly twenty projects later, it is clear that this hobby is now a special part of your family, a way to connect, make memories, and enjoy time together. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Welcome to share your projects with us :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

It’s an amazing feeling that my kids found a hobby that allows us to create a stronger bond by sharing ideas, doing show and tell, etc.

My 40 year old son bought me my first. Funny thing is that I was “fishing” for Christmas ideas and I mentioned how cool I thought his brother’s builds were…trying to see if he liked them as much as I did. Backfired…LOL! He bought me my first and I’ve been hooked since then. Just crossed the 100 + model mark in less than 2 years. @mchipman

It’ll be awesome to hear what your first build is going to be when that time comes.
