🥰 [Rolife Happiness] From Elsa’s Tailoring to El Taller de Olimpia

I finally had a bit of time to keep working on this kit, and I’m so happy with how it’s coming along!

This time I finished the furniture and made a few changes—like using some different fabrics, adding little yarn balls to the fabric box, and putting up a few different signs.

I also started personalizing it a bit with photos, which was really fun to do.

:light_bulb: I’ve been thinking about making a different logo for the workshop and already starting to add the photos with little frames. Sometimes I’ve cut the photos with my Cricut, but this time, since there were only a few pictures and things to cut, I just did it by hand. For anyone who has a Cricut—know that it’s a real treasure for miniatures too! (I’m sure I’ll use it later on for some little plants ).

Here are some pictures of the progress so far—can’t wait until I get another chance to keep building! Hope you like it!

Thank you so much!
The tricky part with the Cricut is that you really have to learn how to use it properly if you want good results. Once you get the hang of it, it’s fine—but it’s not something you can pick up quickly, it definitely takes time. Honestly, I don’t think I use it to its full potential yet, but for what I need it for, it helps a lot. And for the specific things I wanted to do with it, I’ve already learned how, so it works out just fine  hehe

Exactly. You can also ask it to make things for you or even create a tutorial—it’s always better if someone shows you how. It’s really hard to find free videos where people truly teach you how to use it, most are paid courses. I’ve learned in a self-taught way, so I’m sure there are still lots of things I don’t know yet.

Wow this looks awesome already :star_struck: i like all the personal details you made. How do you know how big the photo should be to let it fit perfectly in de build?

Thank you so much @Liset!! With some of them I cheat a little ( :see_no_evil_monkey: ). I measure the posters underneath and make new ones just a bit bigger or the same size to place on top. Other times I simply measure the space I have and make them in a size I think will look good there . This time I had to keep testing with the logo, because it kept ending up either too big or too small. Square or round designs are sooo much easier hehe.

This is looking absolutely wonderful! I love how you’re making the kit truly your own with all those creative touches—different fabrics, yarn balls, and especially the framed photos give it so much personality and warmth. Keep sharing your progress—it’s inspiring!

I’m sure there are things that are easier to do than the way I learned them, since sometimes I go one by one :joy::joy::joy:. So if you’ve got the time and motivation, it’s really worth learning!!

Thank you @Oscar! With this one I find that I really like the original design, so I feel a bit sad about changing too many things :see_no_evil_monkey:. I’ve also noticed that with the newer designs I’m more limited when it comes to rearranging the furniture. For example, the one in the middle of the photo fits into both the base and the wall, and if I moved it somewhere else, I’d need to figure out a way to cover up the holes and modify the wall

Thank you so much @Lisa_Miller! And that’s just with me making small changes—this time I haven’t painted all the furniture like I’ve done before, because I already really like how they look hehe.

I love it @Wenbare . The details looks incredible. It will be an amazing build once you completed it. Looking forward to more updates.

Thank you @Tricia12! Since I can’t spend much time on it—and even less so consistently—it feels like I’m not putting in as much detail, or enough detail, I’m not sure :smiling_face_with_tear::smiling_face_with_tear:.
