DIY Ideas for Decorating 3D Miniatures with Knitted/Crochet Creations
For people with knitting skills, I’ve put together a few ideas for decorating your miniature houses and rooms.
If you can crochet or knit, you’ll definitely be interested to know how else you can enhance your miniatures!
- Knitted furniture and home décor. A rug, a blanket, or a pillow made from mini granny squares can add coziness and the atmosphere of a real home to your miniature interior. You can also knit the furniture itself — for example, little cabinets with books.
- Knitted toys and characters. Does your miniature house have plenty of things but still feel like it’s missing a spark or something alive? Add some residents!
- What you’ll need. The finest crochet hooks/knitting needles and yarn. Some people even use regular sewing thread.
- If you want to go big. You can even knit an entire miniature room — your ideas are limitless! For inspiration, try searching on Pinterest using keywords like “knitted mini items” or “knitted toys.”
