I have finally completed the painting and building of my gingerbread house. I absolutely loved everything about this one. I did change a lot with the painting and I made one little change with the light wiring. They had it coming down the back of the building but I chose to stick it in the corner and paint it red like the wallpaper stripes. It then goes behind the counter and right into the battery box. I added a lot more Christmas colors to make it so much brighter. I hope you like the pictures. If you zoom in, you can see the little sprinkles on my Christmas cupcakes.. LOL
What amazing result. Inlove the fibrant colours you used. Especially the red on the roof and the green.
Absolutely stunning
i love the bright colors. The roof is amazing and the little details are perfectly made. It’s the most beautiful gingerbread house i’d ever seen ![]()
So much brighter! and the christmas wallpaper stands out perfectly. I cannot show yours to my daughter or I will be taken mine apart and painting too LOL
Your colours look SOOOO GOOD! I love the brightness and how much your version pops! I am so excited to show Makayla this so she can see some things she could do in the future. It will be easy for her to imagine because this is the same kit she has built. Such a Great example of customisation for her!
Also this was almost like playing ispy and now each time I post pictures I might pick a tiny detail for people to have to try and find hahaha
It was fun and your cupcakes are soooooo special I love them ![]()
Beautiful work as always @Nita_Davis ![]()

You did an amazing job with the wallpaper it really pops now!
Thank you so much @Jerry_Boswijk . This one was quite fun to do.
Thank you so much for kind words. Happy to be inspiration for your daughter this way a fun one to do. I have TWO major blunders right in that same area. One I was able to doctor up and the other…well “It is what it is”…unfixable.
Awwww…what a wonderful compliment! Thank you so much @Liset
That is NOT one you want to pull apart…LOL! @jeanneL
Keeping it as is. but you continue to inspire me!
I always hope to able to inspire and help others with any tips they may need. @jeanneL
Your welcome @Nita_Davis ![]()
So beautiful. Nice pictures
That looks amazing @Nita_Davis , love the bright colours. That roof would have taken some patience! ![]()
Thank you so much! It is definitely a fun build. I did have a hard time getting those coffee mugs to stay on the hooks. Use Super Glue and sand and wax your tabs when putting on the roof. Much easier @Atropex
Same. I ended up gluing mine too
Thank you very much @Jo_Zanella Oh yes! Two coats for the green to cover that orange. Thankfully, I used Snow White for the white on this one. It has just the slightest hint of grey which means that some black has been added to the color. Painters know that even a drop of black into a gallon of white paint will help with coverage. I was SO relieved to only have to do that once.
Thank you so much. There was a LOT of time spent on the wallpaper and ceiling @JDisaduck
