There’s something about slowing down and working with your hands that feels like a quiet rebellion against the rush of modern life. My vintage vibe comes to life at my crafting table — a wooden tray holding my tools just so, a freshly opened Rolife kit waiting to be built, and nothing but time. No rushing, no scrolling — just hands, wood, and patience. 
My builds themselves are my biggest nod to the past. Each one is a tiny world frozen in a moment — and none more so than my Rolife Coffee Factory. That little build stopped me in my tracks the moment it came together. Gears turning, a working mechanism, the whole aesthetic dripping in industrial nostalgia — it felt like the perfect marriage of craft and engineering. It has a permanent spot in my cabinet for a reason. 
And honestly? A six-star build is exactly the kind of challenge I’ve been looking for. I’ve been steadily working my way up in complexity, and the ROKR Mechanical Typewriter feels like the next mountain to climb — visible gears, intentional design, something that actually does something when it’s done. I’d love to find out if I’m ready for it.
