📖 [Rokr Journey] Update 5 Cuckoo clock

Winter has really started here in the Netherlands. It’s been snowing for days, and we haven’t had this much snow in a long time. Perfect weather for building without having to go outside.

I was able to paint the rest of the details on the front wall. Robotime even thought about adding curtains to the windows. It’s amazing how Robotime pays attention to every little detail. I chose to use as many earth tones as possible.

The plants at the front add a bit more color to the build. By using two different shades of green, I tried to create some depth.

A stone wall surrounds the opening. I painted it gray, but I’m not sure I like it that much. Maybe it should be a slightly darker gray. I’m going to sleep on it. I’ll stop for now and hopefully I can continue tomorrow.

Thank you @Nita_Davis :hugs: What do you think, should I make the gray a shade darker?

We have also been getting way more snow this year than usual where I live in Canada. Basically started snowing in November and hasn’t stopped! :see_no_evil_monkey: Your clock is looking fantastic btw!! Love the colour scheme!:heart:

It looks more blue in last picture. It matches the walkway

Hmmm…I think I probably would. Sleep on it, though.

I wonder if the darker greyish blue would look better? I am not the expert here. I am thinking a little more contrast though. and since your heading to bed, rest and see what the morning tells you!

it looks great. It’s true that the unpainted wooden set allows you to color it freely.

It is coming along nicely @Liset

Wow that’s a lot of snow! I agree I think it could have a bit more contrast but let’s see what you think when you wake up in the morning! :pink_heart:

Thank you @Atropex :hugs: Wow, that’s been snowing for a really long time. I can’t wait for spring to come again

It’s light gray, but it does look a bit blue. I think I’ll see if I can make it a bit darker gray today.

After a short night’s sleep I decided to make the light gray a bit darker

Thank you @ThaoNguyen :hugs: I’m really enjoying building this structure. Because it’s plain wood, it does take more time to paint everything, but I really enjoy being able to paint a structure exactly the way I want it.

Normally, there’s maybe 5 cm of snow here. Now it’s already 30 cm, and it’s going to snow heavily today. Fortunately, it’s going to rain again this weekend, and I expect the snow to disappear quickly

Wowwww that is a lot of snow! I can’t imagine going to work in that weather I already complain so much here and it’s nowhere as cold.

Hopefully you get to stay indoors and paint more today.
