Help please
I am now on page 28 but I’m stomped.
I can’t figure out how to attach the tree. And what’s worse the wood at the bottom got splintered while I was trying to attach it ![]()
What should I do?

What should I do?
It appears as though that center piece of the tree has not been fully inserted to be out of the way of the other two pieces forming the X which will be inserted. Sand off the splintered part and add glue if needed.
Oh noooo i am not much help since i havent built this yet but im sure you will work it out! I would just glue that tree in when you do get it to fit because it might not stand so tight with the splintered parts. Good luck!
Im not darw yet, but looking at the bottom part the bottom of the tree should make a X now it looks like there are 6 part that end at the same hight. Are the part that are horizontal in the last picture maybe not pushed up high enough so the other parts form the X you see in the base part? I would also sand and wax the parts that go in the bottom X seeing as they already split
Take a close look to make sure you’ve placed the pieces in the right direction and position—sometimes it’s just a single piece put in backwards that can throw everything off. I hope you can find a solution! ![]()
Thank you everyone for your tips and advise

I disassembled the tree again and double checked the slots to make sure it forms an X at the bottom and tried to attach it again. And it finally did it. I did sand the splintered part too.
I also found that one of the red pieces keep falling off, so I had to glue it so it won’t fall off while it’s turning.
I am SO happy that you found a solution. This build has always been my favorite of all time..but now I have a top three…with the Space Shuttle and the London Marble Run. May things go much smoother for you in progressing.
Yay! Well done! It looks perfect now, no one would ever know! ![]()

Great job. @Jill_Francisco. I’m glad you figured it out. I had a few similar situations and after disassembled then I found the issues. Well done.
Well done!! I’m so happy for you ![]()
Haven’t done this one. But glad it all worked out in the end ![]()
