[ROKR Dream Gift Factory] Assembling Issue

Hello everyone! Last night I was thinking “okay, let’s finish the gift packaging line and show the community how I’m doing so far!”… Aaaand I got stuck lol. I hope some of you can help me here!

So here’s the thing. I’m building through section 10 of the manual and I’ve successfully assembled the pieces as explained in it, but I’m finding complications when trying to add it to the factory structure (are shown in the picture I’ve posted up here). So, what’s happening?

  • When trying to do it as explained in the manual by following the number order, it’s a bit tricky because 1 and 3 work properly but 2 doesn’t (no matter the adjustment or pressure I put, the “feet” of the structure won’t completely move front to get stuck under the floor)
  • Because of that, I can’t properly put piece C34 in front of it, because since that part is not properly moved, the hole prepared for C34 to fit is not 100% accessible

And that’s basically why I’m stuck here right now. Any ideas what can I do to fix this and keep going? I don’t wanna try by adding too much pressure since something could break, and I understand it shouldn’t work by adding more pressure than I thought I should.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry I couldn’t help as I haven’t got around to build it yet. May be @Jill_Francisco can help with this one.

It a tricky part. It took me a while to get it in. a bit of sanding the tabs that go in the slots and applying some wax to them will help you i think.

Hmm, good point, maybe that’ll do the trick. You mean the lower tabs that go under the “floor”, those that I’m supposed to put in and then move?

I’m not sure if I’m seeing this correctly, but the right side of the machine doesn’t seem to be closing properly at the top. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t fit properly? Mine slid in very easily. Check if point 3 on the back also fits into the hole.

I also didn’t have a problem putting this part in. Like @Jerry_Boswijk said, try sanding and waxing and try again.

You can also watch this video I found in Youtube which helped me a lot when I get stuck.

Hope you’ll be able to figure out the issue.

It looks like you’re really close to getting it right, and you explained the issue very clearly. That section can be a bit tricky. I agree it’s better not to force it, as those parts can be delicate. Sometimes slightly adjusting the angle before placing piece 2 helps it slide in without pressure. I’m sure you’ll get it — you’re doing great so far!

If you search the name of the build here in the community, you’ll find some Robotime’s post about it with tips and more! Hopping this can help you

Yes, sand them lightly and put some wax on them

"This section could use a little polishing.
