[Relaxing Moment] Break time

After 7 Days on the beach house, I am taking a break from it today. I think I am going to do something quite simple for a day or two. I am going to work on my gravity swing… the airplane one. I know that you fell in love with The Watchtower @Suzanne_Jones … but he will be hating life while you build it. Trust me I miss. Do not even attempt to put all of those little tiny pieces of ribbon around every single edge. Just whip out the paint brush and some black paint. That’s a full day of my life that I will never get back. I’m not even done with those yet.

Those gravity swings go are great. So humorous and light work for a good break. Gonna do any mods to it?

The details and the sailboat are so cute.

“A day of my life I’ll never get back” made me smile because this is totally relatable whenever I am having a hard time building something. A quick, simple build sounds like the perfect palette cleanser. Have fun!

Hahaha, sometimes a little break is exactly what you need! :joy::yellow_heart: The airplane gravity swing sounds like the perfect change of pace after spending so many days on the beach house. And thanks for the tip about the Watchtower! I think I’d choose the black paint too, life’s too short to edge-paint every tiny piece. Have fun with your “break” build, &I hope you come back to the beach house feeling refreshed!

I’ll just be painting it. It has been too long since I’ve picked up a paintbrush (outside of work…)LOL! @Grey74

Thanks. The boat took a bit of time, for sure.

I did a kit before (impression Hawaii) that had me put ribbon pieces on the floating rings also. They had me questioning all my life decisions by the time I was finished lol

I love this! I am glad that I am not the only one. When you do yours, take note of this idiot move. Just whip out the paint brush. Those frayed edges are driving me mad. @Smith42

I will definitely be painting the stripes on this time, never again

I love the honesty! :joy: Some kits are beautiful… but they definitely test our patience.

Girrll…this is one of those…AND Miller’s Garden…LOL! @Anje_Leonoza_Mira

I’m laughing with you and not at you. And you can bet your sweet Nellie that if I can find an easier way to do something, I will lol
Still, I admire your tenacity to stick at it all day. I would have packed it up much sooner.

Feel free to join in the laughter. It’s all can do after the idiocy to even attempt such a thing. I AM a painter after all. I should’ve taken one look at those things and said…

I hope so. I think I saw an earlier comment (not sure where) that you were currently working on a DIY. Which model are you doing?

The details and the sailboat are so cute. I can’t wait to see your finish

That sounds like a well-earned break! After seven days on one kit, switching to something different is a great way to keep the hobby fun

That was my comment on your post about the pink villa house, which turned out so beautiful. What I’m making is a bit like that, but this is the box for mine, and it’s a modern style name “Elegant and Quiet” I am currently working on the wiring and the second floor. I hope to finish it soon because I’m so excited to see the final look. This is my first DIY-heavy kit, so it is a bit challenging for me especially the wiring part.

That’s a beautiful kit. I have not done the pink villa yet…but it is on order.

I think you may have misunderstood. I would have preferred to edge paint every single piece rather than glue a tiny piece of ribbon on each edge. @MamaNheza Painting is what I LOVE to do.
