After 7 Days on the beach house, I am taking a break from it today. I think I am going to do something quite simple for a day or two. I am going to work on my gravity swing… the airplane one. I know that you fell in love with The Watchtower @Suzanne_Jones … but he will be hating life while you build it. Trust me I miss. Do not even attempt to put all of those little tiny pieces of ribbon around every single edge. Just whip out the paint brush and some black paint. That’s a full day of my life that I will never get back.
I’m not even done with those yet.

“A day of my life I’ll never get back” made me smile because this is totally relatable whenever I am having a hard time building something. A quick, simple build sounds like the perfect palette cleanser. Have fun!

The airplane gravity swing sounds like the perfect change of pace after spending so many days on the beach house. And thanks for the tip about the Watchtower! I think I’d choose the black paint too,life’s too short to edge-paint every tiny piece. Have fun with your “break” build, &I hope you come back to the beach house feeling refreshed!

I did a kit before (impression Hawaii) that had me put ribbon pieces on the floating rings also. They had me questioning all my life decisions by the time I was finished lol

I love this! I am glad that I am not the only one. When you do yours, take note of this idiot move. Just whip out the paint brush. Those frayed edges are driving me mad. @Smith42

That sounds like a well-earned break! After seven days on one kit, switching to something different is a great way to keep the hobby fun
That was my comment on your post about the pink villa house, which turned out so beautiful. What I’m making is a bit like that, but this is the box for mine, and it’s a modern style name “Elegant and Quiet” I am currently working on the wiring and the second floor. I hope to finish it soon because I’m so excited to see the final look. This is my first DIY-heavy kit, so it is a bit challenging for me especially the wiring part.

I think you may have misunderstood. I would have preferred to edge paint every single piece rather than glue a tiny piece of ribbon on each edge. @MamaNheza Painting is what I LOVE to do.
