Wow that’s heaps of toothpicks! They look like supporting structures, do they help with motion? Sorry if it’s a silly question. :laughing:

They are for structure…You have rows of pieces that are held together with toothpicks in the middle. If you look closely at the side of the car…you can see about six toothpicks holding all of the inner pieces together. Those still have to be painted as well. Most everything is rows and rows of thick wood pieces. These these are pretty indestructible…as they should be for all of the work involved…LOL! @JDisaduck

Wow that really is a ton of work! Hopefully it’s a slow but enjoyable process it will be worth it in the end!

Thanks, Jerry. I wish I had primed it all with white first because the dark edges don’t match the pieces that are the white wood. Oh well. Not doing that now @Jerry_Boswijk

I might take a break from it and build a flower for my blooming book or something. I am stumped on making these dang tires…LOL! My brain is hurting…and I KNOW these are built exactly them same way as they were on my fire truck. I just can’t wrap my head around it this time…:zany_face: @Wenbare

I think I’m going through something similar, so I completely understand… I have Kiki’s Magic Emporium halfway done (or less), but it’s one of those builds that needs a lot of time and focus, and right now I just don’t have that in me.

Meanwhile, the easier kits, like Santa on Sleigh or the ones I’m helping the kids with, feel much more enjoyable at the moment. I don’t know how to explain it, but they’re lighter, quicker, and let my brain relax.

So I think I’ll pause Kiki for now and switch to simpler builds I can finish in a few hours and fully unwind with. :zany_face:
