Recap of my first meet up at Johor, Malaysia on 30th May 2026 🪷

30th May was a sunny day, and I reached Semicolon 40 minutes before the event…
I was so lucky to have two little assistants helping me out that day! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I had visited the venue before, but only for dinner. When I came back for the meetup, I was happy to find that it didn’t let me down at all… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

The atmosphere was so relaxing and cozy — truly the perfect place for a crafting meetup. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :sparkles:

@Aiffah_Badron arrived 10 minutes later, and I was so thankful to have her help with the video recording. :face_blowing_a_kiss:
And yes — that video transition from outside to inside is pretty amazing, right? :sparkles: :movie_camera: :face_with_hand_over_mouth: (And also the video of introduction myself also Robotime)
The video was post at my IG: https://www.instagram.com/kitmun_corner?utm_source=qr

The first participants arrived around 20 minutes later, and before I knew it, everyone was arriving one by one… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
They picked their favorite kits, signed the check-in list, and got ready for an afternoon of crafting together. :sparkles: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Introducing the build to the participates…

The event was fully booked with 15 participants! :partying_face:I quit shock for this results…
Unfortunately, three participants had to cancel at the last minute because of a school holiday camping trip (a mother and her two children). On the event day, two participants were absent, and another participant couldn’t make it because they were feeling unwell.
But luckily, we had two walk-in participants! One was a husband who originally came just to drop off his wife and children for the meetup. However, after seeing everyone having fun, he became interested and decided to join as well! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
The other was a helper who accompanied her employer to look after a toddler. In the end, her employer encouraged her to give the crafting activity a try, and she happily joined us too. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
It was such a pleasant surprise to welcome these unexpected participants and see them enjoy the meetup together. :sparkles: :two_hearts: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:)

After everyone had signed the consent form, I started with a brief introduction about myself and some basic information about Robotime… :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I also handed out the flyers that I had created for the meetup. The flyer didn’t just contain information about Robotime—it also included details about our community and where participants could purchase Robotime kits… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
I intentionally featured one of Robotime’s newest products, the Typewriter, in the flyer, and it quickly became one of the hottest topics among the participants!
Many of them were curious about it and spent quite some time looking at the product details. It was fun to see how much attention it attracted! :sparkles:

Start enjoy the building time! All of them are enjoying the building fun :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Aiffah @Aiffah_Badron was choose the Rowood Golden Sunflower Wall Art, and she really enjoy the crafting

Time flies when you’re having fun… it was 3hrs gone
All the participates still wanting more when I was announces time up…
and all of them would like to win a nanci fruit baby and bring them back :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

After Fruit Nanci Baby, Milk Tea Nanci is the Next…
The lotus flowers definitely caught everyone’s attention!
Many participants were curious about how they would be used for the lucky draw, but I kept it a secret until the big moment. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
And here is one of our lucky participants showing everyone how it worked! :lotus: :sparkles:
The reactions were priceless! :tada:

Haha…
I printed out some labels and secretly stuck them underneath the lotus flowers. To reveal their result, participants had to gently open the bottom lotus petals. :lotus:
And no, I didn’t write the usual “Congratulations” or “Thank You” messages. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

For the prize winner, I wrote:
:bubble_tea: “Treat yourself to a milk tea!”

For everyone else, I prepared little blessings instead:
:two_hearts: “May your life shine brightly.”
:two_hearts: “Every day is a good day.”
:two_hearts: “Wishing you peace and joy.”
:two_hearts: “Wishing you joy and wellness.”

I wanted everyone to leave with a smile, whether they won a prize or not. :sparkles: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
At last we have a group picture, Mdm Toh is a shine lady so she requested to hide behind the screen  and the staff of Semicolon willing to be our temporary cameralady :two_hearts:

As our meetup came to a close, many participants were already asking about the next gathering! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I encouraged everyone to join our community to stay updated on upcoming meetups, events, and activities. Community members can also enjoy special perks, including giveaways, lucky draws, and other exciting surprises. We look forward to welcoming more of you to our growing community! :lotus: :sparkles:

The meetup has successfully come to an end. I didn’t realize until it was over that I hadn’t sat down once throughout the entire event. I’m exhausted, but seeing everyone enjoy themselves made it all worthwhile. :two_hearts:

PS: Several participants sent me photos of their completed builds on WhatsApp. Seeing their finished creations brought me so much joy and happiness.

At Last… Thanks for your reading…

I love how you handled the little surprises too, especially the walk-in participants joining after seeing everyone having fun. That is such a good sign that the atmosphere you created felt welcoming.

Also, the lotus flower lucky draw idea was so creative and thoughtful. I love that even the people who didn’t win still received a sweet blessing message. That small detail says so much about the heart you put into this event.
