📖 [Rolife Journey] A little more progress on the miniature house

I have accomplished a few things here and there. All of my walls are covered on both sides and so is my Roofing. I have conquered several of the knick knacks and have decorated or almost decorated all of my trees and wreaths. I still have a lot of boxes to make and a lot of ribbons to make which are very time consuming… not to mention that I still have to finish the chandelier and I have figured out a game plan for my basket which is working out much better using glue. This is going to be a really awesome Christmas Lodge when it’s done

It is looking good so far! This is one of the builds I’m most excited to see finished!! It looks like a lot of work even without adding in the painting!

The painting is the least of my worries. These miniature houses always take so much more time than book Nooks or regular models. I am putting this one on the same scale as the Holo Magic House. It is going to be amazing when I finish it though. Last night, I was making apples to go in this tiny basket that is smaller than a dime at the bottom circumference. The stems for these apples were 1/2 centimeter long. Everything in this build is just tiny tiny tiny. I will be excited to see it done as well @Atropex

Yes! I definitely find the third party kits to usually be a lot more a kin to the older Rolife kits! I actually have a pretty decent backlog of third party kits right now that I just having been touching because I’ve been on a Rolife kick! It’s hard when the Rolife quality is just so good, even with their older kits! I hear ya about tiny stuff, I’ve done two of those builds where it’s like the miniature in the tin box, that stuff was super tiny.

It’s looking so great. I am waiting for your results.

It’s crazy how the off brands are so much detail and they’re actually not that pricey. When I look at the longevity of the build, I am also looking at the money that people could be saving for something that takes so darn long to do. I also know that a lot of people don’t have the patience for these. Mine is certainly being tested but I can’t wait for the end result. There will be lots of pictures before the roof goes on.. LOL @Atropex

Yes! You can definitely get some pretty decked out, like full on houses, or castles and stuff for like, well, $50 - $60 Canadian here lol. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $80 on a build at most, and that’s like super rare, or if I’m buying like an old hard to get rolife off EBay, shipping is always a killer on EBay! I’m excited to see all your progress pictures! Like I said in the past, I actually have this kit, but I’m going to leave it for next year!

That’s awesome that you have this kit. It’s going to be really really nice and I just want you to be prepared for what you are facing. It is a lot @Atropex

I do love seeing all the tiny trinkets that come with! That is what attracts me to these things! All the little stuff!

…until you have to assemble them…LOL! These are not pre-made. @jeanneL

Some things I am ok assembling. some things, like chandaliers LoL maybe not

Wow that’s a lot of details and it reminds me of the old style Rolife kits which I really miss. I hope you’re having a fun time tackling this. It’s either this or back to the car you go.

Is there any wiring work for lighting?

It looks like a lot of work and pieces. From the instructions it looks like you’re going to make everything from scratch. Have fun @Nita_Davis

Yes @Tricia12 I think there are three or four lights. It also has a music box as well

I am definitely enjoying it for the most part. When the frustration sets in, I move on to something else and I will come back to it later @Jill_Francisco

good to see you found new energy to go on with it. the extremely little parts cause stress but the end result gives so much pride when you are done.

Won’t be giving up at all on this one. It’s just too nice of a build to do so. @Jerry_Boswijk
