[Not Robotime] Welcome to Minas Tirith (and why I prefer Robotime kits in general)

I know right? There’s no brand like this one :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, the books and movies are both originally in English, but “Minas Tirith” is still the original name of the city. From a Spanish point of view, “Minas” is the translation from “Mines”. Which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me since the city has nothing to do with mines or dwarves, but… Still

It is, isn’t it? If Robotime were to build this… OMG. That would be wonderful and much better looking

I can’t work out how to post the link to my post with my hobbit house but I’ll include a picture. I think the kit is called Magic Ring.

Ohh so cute. I loved the books way more than the movies although they were good. He just bugged me as the Hobbit LOL.
I am loving this little cottage!

Oh, interesting. I remember now that the mines were where the dwarfs lived.

Did you see the new prequel series on Amazon Prime? It talks a lot about the history of the different races including the dwarfs. I thought it was pretty good but other people have left mixed reviews. I thought I was way better than the Hobbit movie. The Hobbit movies were so boring to me and they lacked the beauty of the earlier movies.

Thanks @jeanneL. I didn’t really enjoy The Hobbit movies as much as the original LOTR. I do love Aragorn

Yes! and Legolas but I was reliving The Pirates movies with him!

Legolas was a little too young for me

Me too! but Ido think Orlando is handsome
I am going to be 68, so he would probably spit on my shoes. But still cute in a young sort of way LOL

I think he would be too polite to spit on your shoes but I do get what you’re saying.

Great to find kits that align with your hobbies and favourite topics… My partner has a few GOT miniatures not robotime but just as enjoyable for him.

You’re welcome.

Oh yeah, I’ve seen it! The Rings of Power, right?

I’ve been reading a lot of bad critics about it but I’ve enjoyed them a lot and, as you say, slightly more than The Hobbit movies. Some stuff in the series were a bit odd, but I guess every TV show has that every now and then. And it’s a wonder to slowly see the schemes of Sauron and the creation of the Rings.

Oh, I love both! There are some things I prefer in the movies though, since they feel more… Epic?

Oh, I’ve seen some of those. Like the Iron Throne Book Nook, right? I think that one is actually from the same brand/line than this Minas Tirith one.

Looks great @TheToday you did an awesome job, especially being a bit of a difficult kit. It will be a dream working on your next Robotime kit!
