Ohhh this is really my first time hearing about it but I’m not surprised that this was originated from soldiers during war. Zamboanga was a base/outpost during the war.
It would be so lovely to go on a staycation on one of those cottages. Your AI build looks so beautiful![]()
I love the Ai generated park you shared. Looks like a beautiful place to have a picnic with the family.
It’s always fun to do things together with family. I love the AI generated kit, it looks so grand and beautiful![]()
My city is Mississauga, Ontario, and it has been home since 2004.
I came from the Philippines as a child, my mom from Angono, Rizal (me too!) and my dad from Nueva Ecija. I don’t get back often, but the Philippines never really left. It lives in the food, the language, the way my family gathers, the values I carry into everything I do. That mix of two worlds is just part of who I am now.
Mississauga is where I built my life. It’s where I found my community, and the person I married. My husband was born and raised here, so in a way our story is Mississauga’s story too: two different backgrounds, one city that brought us together. That feels like the most honest thing I can say about this place. It has a way of holding people from everywhere and making something new out of it.
As a Robotime Brand Ambassador, miniature kits aren’t just a hobby for me, they’re something I genuinely believe in and share with others. But even before any of that, building was something I did just for me. Quiet, focused, completely mine. That’s what Robotime gives me. A creative escape, a community I love, and something that asks nothing of me except to slow down and pay attention.
If Mississauga became a Robotime kit, I’d want it to be Kariya Park. It’s a Japanese garden sitting quietly in the middle of a modern city, gifted to Mississauga by its sister city in Japan. Two places connected across distance and culture. That story feels personal to me. It would make a beautiful kit: peaceful, detailed, full of meaning if you know where to look.

I was born and raised in Eindhoven, Netherlands. I have been living in Haler for 8 years. This is a very small village of nearly 500 inhabitants.
When I go to Eindhoven, it always feels like coming home. Eindhoven is known for the Evoluon, Philips and, of course, the football club PSV.
I asked AI to make a mockup for Robotime from Eindhoven and this is what AI came with.

Nice to see the map filling out with Australians.
I’ve never been to WA and I was born in Australia, but it is definitely on our future travel plan list.
Your post beautifully ties together heritage, community, and creativity.
Welcome back Mintycrafts. ![]()
It’s amazing how these builds can carry such personal meaning, turning them into more than just projects.
That’s such a heartfelt post—you’ve beautifully tied together your roots in Tehran with your life in Melbourne.
That’s such a warm description of Chorley—you’ve really captured the charm of small‑town life.
I live in a very small town called Tippecanoe in Indiana. It is only about 5 miles from where I grew up in Argos. This little town got its name from an old campaign slogan from the Whig Party in 1840. Presidential candidate, William Henry Harrison (side note: I lived in Harrison Hall at Purdue University) was known from being a former general who won the Battle of Tippecanoe. He was given the nickname Tippecanoe after winning a battle against the Tecumseh Native American Confederation in Indiana. His vice presidential running-mate was John Tyler. Combining the two names made a catchy rhyming alliteration that was easy to remember and later became a popular campagn song, Tippecanoe and Tyler too.
