Library of Wonders: Tiny Mistakes, Golden Details and Beautiful Lights

The dome is one of the most impressive parts of the Library of Wonders, although it caused us a little confusion at first. We misunderstood the instructions and placed some blue stickers where they weren’t supposed to go, so it looked a little strange for a while hahaha.

Luckily, I managed to fix everything using the wide double-sided tape I keep at home. Apart from securing a few small pieces, this kit doesn’t really need glue because the tape works very well.

Once the dome was installed, we added the upper light. We didn’t have any problems with the wiring because the wooden pieces have channels that guide the cables and hide them neatly.

Then came the side walls with their mirrors, which create that wonderful illusion of the library continuing into the distance. The paintings, the marble-effect floor and the stained-glass windows are all so beautiful! I loved watching the effect gradually appear as we added each new section.

The illuminated chandelier was another favourite. It was easy to assemble and fitted together really well. I was a little obsessed with making sure it wasn’t crooked, but in the end, I think it looks pretty good hahaha.

With every new piece, it started to feel less like a model and more like a tiny mysterious library waiting to be explored.
