I started this build the other evening while waiting for the glue to dry on my other kit.
My first picture that I shared has a glaring mistake.

So, I pulled it apart and put it back together in the correct order.
Going along beautifully from there.

Then I had to thread the light wires through and guess what??? I had placed a piece in back to front and the wire wouldn’t go through.
Disassemble once again.

Putting it back together correctly this time, but because I’ve pulled it apart a couple of times the parts were a bit loose.
Luckily, there had been no glue used until this point but I did need it after this.

I was happy about the extra pieces in the kit but unfortunately, there was no extras for the struts between the windows. B7000 to the rescue.
Tips

  • Go easy on the pressure
  • Don’t glue pieces until you have to
  • Make sure you line up all the pieces the wire will go through before you have to thread it through
  • Make sure the base is secure before putting the windows in
  • A touch of glue on the stained glass windows stops the inner piece dropping down
    Overall, this is a gorgeous build.

I can’t wait to get to this kit…I fell in love with twin towers cathedral and this is the next one I want.

Not thing major at all. Just little things.

I feel your pain @Suzanne_Jones Sue, I was the same with the Christmas tree in the dream factory. I was definitely over that tree in the end :joy::joy:

It is fragile but going gently certainly helps. I can be a bit heavy handed at times.
