Library of Wonders

I was so excited when this arrived right in time for my holiday. What a perfect way to spend my days off - creating and relaxing.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing the library and working through the little things that come your way with any build.
One missing part, but in the end I could get by without it. I still have a funny feeling I may have used it earlier in the build but there was no way to go back and find out.
Some progress photos.

As @Michelle_Hawke has said in her post, the inner roof is fiddly. I worked around this a bit by shaping some of the paper parts around my tube of glue.
I also found a workaround for the sticker book.
I lifted two parts and then using my tweezers I folded two at a time while keeping it stuck to then sheet.

When it came time to test the lights I couldn’t get them to work. Took me at least a few minutes before I realised that it has a touch switch  (much embarrassment).
I’m so happy with this build and I like it a lot.

I think the chandelier and the lamp are my favourite parts of the build.

It looks absolutely majestic! I love it love it love it!

Also, I know how you felt about the test of lights, something kind of similar happened to me when I was done building the Bookstore Book Nook. In my case it was more that I forgot the battery box has an on/off switch that I had turned to “off”, so the touch button won’t work

There is good and bad to the stickers @Anje_Leonoza_Mira but I found some workarounds

Thanks so much Michelle. It really is a lovely kit.

I am really bad to the book stickers design, when it incorrectly sticks, and when you try to remove it, sometimes, it will torn. That’s the only struggle that I have so far.

I like the book stickers where you place a bit of wood in it and wrap, but having a long sticker to make into a book is really difficult. I’m glad I found a work around to do it and they didn’t stick together as much.

Yeah, something weird happened to me in almost every kit I’ve built, I’ve even created a topic about all that stuff haha

Wasn’t that the topic about unintentional mistakes lol
I think we all do them.

Exactly, that one! I’ve always been like that, trying to take and learn the best out of every problematic situation.

I just received it too. You’ve made me so excited to try it!

That chandelier is stunning. I’m so happy that you had something to make your holiday a bit better. Don’t worry…I think we’ve all been there with that moment of sadness when the lights don’t work…and then experiencing that “lightbulb in the brain” moment… :winking_face_with_tongue:

That is such a beautiful guild. Especially loved the chandelier and the little Tiffany lamp.

I hope you enjoy the build @ThaoNguyen.
It is so pretty.

The chandelier really is the centrepiece as it’s right at the front. There is just so much to see in this build.
