Kiki's update 2 and a few tips

I have completed most of the little things. All this gluing was a challenge for sure.

Those little white cardboard boxes took some time because rather than fold together like the new boxes, I had to glue. I still need to put the handle on the lantern but I am waiting for that to completely dry before I add handle.
Those little white things with black tip, on bottom, are candles. You cut rolled paper which is not as easy as it looks. I tried my X-acto knofe and did not go as well. Ended up using a kitchen knofe.
I am a little concerned with the roof. The hooks are just kind of glued in there. I do not know how well they will hold.
Biggest tip I think is that I recommend you not use super glue!

I think it all turned out well! Yeah candles can be very tricky but you did amazingly! :pink_heart:

I mostly reserve super glue for very specific wire work hahaha.

You’re details are turning out great. I have made candles like that. I used a torch younuse for creme brulee to make the tips of the candle black. It gave a nice effect

You’ve done such a great job! All those tiny pieces look amazing, even if the gluing was tough. The candles and boxes turned out really cute! And for paper or cardboard, a glue stick usually works much better than super glue.

This is coming together very nicely.

Yay thanks for the update!! For glue I very highly recommend B-7000 glue, you can get it on amazon.. it’s pretty much the only glue I use! Has a needle tip applicator, has good grab, but gives you enough time to adjust, I really couldn’t recommend it enough!!

Thank for share tip. You did well

Look at all the little details. So cute!

Yes. Super glue can be good for some things but not so much for others.

I may start the whole kit on fire. You should see me with the wire heat wrap!

I know now to be more careful! At least the room should look more mysterious so I will pretend cob webs!

I love this thought!

Haha be carefull. I also use a torch to burn of plastic from light wires

Wow! You made so much progress already. Your wire works looks amazing. And the candles look good too.

Glue stick. Great idea. I have a bin with a variety of glues. I think I was looking for a “quick fix”

Thanks! I am learning to embrace and enjoy these challenging things. When I saw it was a glue together, I almost wanted to close the kit. But I decided to forge ahead and I did.

Yes, I think it’s similar!

It happened to me too. Then I realized that this type of glue is the best one for paper
