Just a Few Little Details: Sakura 🌸 Dreamy Tour Progress

Just a Few Little Details :cherry_blossom::sparkles:

Progress update on the Sakura Dreamy Tour. At first I knew this was going to be a longer build, and it is, but surprisingly it feels more like a relaxing walk in the park than a marathon. The gear parts were actually easy, especially after tackling Dream Gift Factory. Compared to that, this one is smooth sailing with the mechanical bits.

I decided to do a subtle, not-so-obvious rendition. The colors are the same, but I painted the edges as usual, added pink translucent glitter ( Inspired by @NoodleSalad )to the cherry blossom tree, touched up the tree trunks, and painted the stone in the back. Nothing realistic, just enough depth to make the scene feel alive and dreamy.

The yellow and orange flowers got a sheer gold layer to give them warmth and life. The tram details got a little pop with a silver monochrome pen, just so they catch your eye. I left the foreground unpainted on purpose, keeping that whimsical, in-progress feeling, like the scene is slowly unfolding in front of you.

Each tiny tweak and layer adds depth and charm without overdoing it. This build is longer, yes, but the process is fun and gentle, which is exactly the dreamy vibe I wanted.

Here’s a a pic of the first unboxing

I will post a full update once it’s further along, but for now, this little corner of Sakura magic is slowly coming to life. :cherry_blossom::sparkles:

(P.S. The glitter everywhere? Totally worth it.)

Thanks for sharing! This kit and the modifications you’re adding to it are an absolute wonder. I wish I had the artistic eye (and hand) to come up with the kind of ideas of customization you have, because the result really, and truly, catches the eye. You should really be proud of yourself!

Can’t wait to start working on those Sakura kits myself by April. A meet up is coming!

The glitter in the Sakura flowers adds a magical touch and the gold touch to the other flowers really makes them pop. I really like what your doing with this build and can’t wait to see the finished result.

Wow! The Sakura tree looks amazing with the glitter  did you have to put glue then scatter the glitter?

I can see all the effort you made for this build and the result is really worth it. Everything looks so good!

LOVE it! That is so very cool how you have thought about making the Sakura be the focal point. I am not much of a ‘blingy’ type person…but this is just gorgeous. The sheer gold on your yellow and orange flowers is extra special.

Thank you so much, I was so happy on how it turned out, although the picture does not give the sparkly effect justice!

Thank you! I do try my best whenever I get to it. For the glitters:

I place the right side up and cover it with clear tacky glue, then I have a tray of glitter that’s shaken lightly, then I face the glued side down into the glitter tray. I let it dry a for a short while and use light taps and a fluffy brush to remove excess glitters

Thank you so much! I was honestly worried it might turn out too flashy with all the pink glitter. I stood in the glitter aisle at the craft store for a solid 30 minutes, debating which one to choose. I’m really glad I went with the translucent pink and the finer texture instead of the chunky one. It really comes down to the little details. And thank you again for showing us the way with painted kits here
