I wanted to build a Japanese diplomatic ship kit since a while.
I had to wait to find new acrylic painting bottles and paintbrushes to color my ship.
But @GWVan60 has presented the same ship before me . He painted his like one I have seen on Internet before me.
Nevertheless, @GWVan60 you did a great job. And I had promised you to show you my work.
So I decided to paint it with bold colors, red and gold notably,to make it impressive.
And, I found a picture of another ship that I liked which inspired me:
I’m very proud of my boat. I tried to paint the cabins in yellow and green as much as I can because the details are too tiny and paint all the cabins already took a lot of time.
I finally let the ropes and the sails unchanged otherwise it would have been too colorful.
And you may or not have noticed that I painted in blue and white the underneath of the boat to remind the sea and the waves.
I remember that you have another one in blue and white. Which colors for the next one ???
I remember that it was difficult to assemble the two parts of the boat’s hull - I was so scared to break them! - and the two decorations to put in front of the boat.
The cruise ship , I did mostly in white, the fishing ship is browns and greys (it made the trip to the rolife 9th celebration in NJ last weekend, it’s one of my favorites) I’ve done all 4
