[Heartwarming] Recap of DIY & Crafting Club Meetup 03 in the Philippines - June 6, 2026

Date: June 6, 2026

Location: Savano Cafe, San Jose Del Monte Bulacan

Participants: 18/20

It was a rainy Saturday, but all bags and kits were packed and ready for the venue. The event space was prepared, and the snacks were made with love. This was also the café’s very first hosted event, and the staff were excitedly waiting for us.

I arrived an hour early to check the setup. No pressure—I could already see the place was ready. A quick 15‑minute arrangement of kits and posters was all it took to finalize everything.

Guests began arriving earlier than expected. Following my policy, whoever comes first gets to choose their kit. I had already sent pictures of the kits before the event so participants knew what to expect and could decide in advance.

I was thrilled that all participants arrived on time. Laughter filled the room, especially when I showcased my Super Creator kit. Even the café owner and servers loved the kits. Since the café wasn’t exclusive to us, other customers became curious and entertained by our activities. Some even listened to my introduction and asked how to purchase kits. I guided them to the website, Instagram, and introduced them to the community. Beyond the 18 registered participants, we had unexpected guests who also fell in love with the products.

Although the café didn’t provide a TV or microphone, I improvised with my own mic and laptop for the presentation. Out of the 20 participants, two had to cancel due to family emergencies. Among those who attended, only three had prior experience building kits. I was delighted to mentor the others, guiding them step by step. Their reactions—“Oh! So that’s how it is. Cool!”—made the experience even more rewarding.

Before the event ended, we held a quick giveaway of Nanci blind boxes through social media posts. Everyone was eager to join, and the excitement was contagious.

Time flew by as everyone built their kits. Many wanted to extend the session, while others were already asking about the next meetup. Some joined the community right away and participated in giveaways. More than just building kits, friendships were formed over crafting.

Overall, it was a truly successful event. The builders were happy, entertained, and proud to call themselves crafters. Many discovered a new hobby they loved.

A heartfelt thank you to @Robotime for this opportunity. Your generosity and kindness brought joy to everyone. Here’s to more meetups ahead! :orange_heart:
