DIY & Crafting Club - Philippines Meetup 03
June 12, 2026 | The Attic Yarn and Hobby Studio, Marikina City
Our June 12 Robotime Meetup was one for the books!
This meetup was extra special because it was my first collaboration with The Attic Yarn and Hobby Studio, and I truly feel so privileged and blessed that the wonderful owners invited us to hold our meetup in their beautiful space.
A full house on Independence Day
Held on a Friday holiday in celebration of Philippine Independence Day, the excitement was already in the air early in the afternoon. Many participants arrived ahead of time, eager to choose the kits they wanted to build. We had a full attendance of 20 participants, and seeing the studio filled with fellow crafters and builders made my heart so happy.
A nervous but meaningful start
I opened the meetup by introducing everyone to Rolife and our growing crafting community. Even though this was already my 7th meetup, my voice was still a little shaky at first — I let my nerves get the better of me for a moment.
But everyone was so warm, friendly, and encouraging that I slowly calmed down and began to enjoy the flow of the event.
Families, beginners, and focused builders
Some participants brought their kids along, who were just as excited to help build the Super Creator kits — perfect for beginners and family bonding. The atmosphere this time was quieter than my previous meetups; everyone was deeply focused on their builds, carefully working through the tiny pieces with so much concentration and patience.
Drinks, snacks, and community moments
About an hour into the session, our drinks arrived and we served snacks for everyone to enjoy while building. I prepared coasters for everyone so their work won’t get wet.
I also started giving away Nanci blind boxes to participants who shared the event on their social media, and I had the chance to interview some of them about their experience. Those little conversations always remind me why I love hosting these meetups so much.
Beautiful builds and a sweet surprise
By the end of the session, many participants had successfully completed their builds before we packed up and gathered for our group photo.
The smiles, the finished creations, and the sense of accomplishment made the whole afternoon feel incredibly fulfilling.
And just when everyone was starting to say their goodbyes, The Attic Yarn and Hobby Studio surprised us with something special — they decided to raffle two Robotime kits for the participants!
Everyone was thrilled and excited as we picked the lucky winners.
To make the collaboration even more meaningful, Robotime also gifted the studio owners a beautiful Voyager kit as a thank-you for hosting us so warmly. It was such a lovely exchange of generosity and support, and we’re all looking forward to more collaborations in the future.
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who joined our June 12 meetup, to The Attic Yarn and Hobby Studio for the beautiful venue and warm hospitality, and to @Robotime for continuously supporting our growing community of builders and crafters. Until the next meetup!
