Things are coming together nicely.
Today I finished off the main house, and then built the lower level that will be directly on the pond.
To get the lanterns done, I needed a larger sewing needle as the gold cross-stitch thread I bought would not fit into the eye of a normal sewing needle. So off to Spotlight I go again.
Just for a needle.
But of course, I walked past the Roflife Christmas models on display.
I swear I heard my name called, all in unison…Jaaassssoooonnnn. It was like something out of a cult.
I was entranced…and walked out with another model 
Anyway, I digress.
With the cross-stitch needle secured, I had a lot more success making the lanterns.
So they were put into place on the house and the office on the lake level.
I have also started building the ‘ground’ that my stone pillar will hold up for the house level. It has the ‘river that comes from nowhere’ glued to it. I call the river that because both sides of it end in waterfalls
Tomorrow I will continue building this platform, and I expect that I will be starting on the pillar and my stones.
There is plenty of glueing of paper to wood for the next part. Thankfully I have my technique for gluing large purchases using PVA without the bubbling and rippling that occurs in paper from using just a tad too much glue.

I find the image of the water highly amusing. It is clear the designer slacked off and just grabed an aerial photo of a coral island in the ocean and put pictures of koi on it. Thankfull the structure will hide the island and once the model is finished, it should not look like an island in the Great Barrier Reef.
I also have the bones of a story in my head to go with this build which will explain why this model is called Fairyland.
