This build is bitter sweet for me. My step father is 83 years old and has driven a semi truck his entire life. He means the world to me and I wanted to make something special for him to express it, so I decided that this truck would be perfect so that I could customize it to look just like his truck. I started it about five days ago and finally finished it yesterday. The ironic thing is that he sold his real truck the day before I finished this, so surprising him with it was emotional but full of love. He knows it was time to sell it, but it’s so bittersweet to give up a profession you’ve done for so long.
I couldn’t match the exact color of his real truck, but I absolutely love how it turned out.
It has 286 pieces and the wood was very fragile but it fit together great.
When I was little I used to ride with him on short trips. I thought I was pretty special to be able to climb into the bunk and ride along. I almost cried when I gave this to him and I know it meant a lot to him.

This is such a heartfelt gift for your stepfather. I love all the little extras that you have added. The little pillow and blanket is such a Special Touch. I can’t recall if I added anything to the back of my truck when I did it but that’s really awesome. I love the color on here
