It’s been almost a week since I last worked on this—took a little break! The edge painting is definitely adding up time-wise.
Today I installed the bean hopper, and wow, there were way more pieces to this than I expected. I didn’t want any unpainted wood showing, so I painted a lot of extra pieces that came unpainted. The only tricky part was actually mounting the hopper to the main structure—getting it lined up and pushing those little pegs in took some patience, but slow and steady got it done!
Double-checked the lights in the area where grandma’s mopping, and they look right, but it still seems a bit dark in there. Might just be how it’s designed, or maybe something else to troubleshoot later.
I’m loving how long this build is taking, but at the same time I’m ready to have a finished product! I think one more session and it should be complete.
Look how colourful and smooth the Factory is so far! You’re doing an absolutely amazing job, you should be proud. I just love to take my time as well! The Dream Gift Factory had me busy for almost two months. Then again, I’m a slow builder myself, something around one hour or 1 numbered step from the manual each day, and not every day
And yeah, I concur that the video is not working. Please fix it! I’m eager to see how your Coffee Factory is working so far.
Watched the video and I’m loving it Kim! It looks like everything is working smoothly and you won’t regret painting the edges. I love taking my time with builds so I think you’re going at a lovely pace.
Ha ha I get the same around that point too, little bit over it and ready to start something new. It looks great though @Kim_Kieffer and even though it’s time consuming your model looks so much more polished for the extra attention. Have fun on the final stretch x
I feel exactly the same about my unfinished mini room. I’ve been building the China Ancient House since last autumn. I enjoy working on it in my free time, but it takes so long to wait for the glue on the pieces to dry…
