Wow, this project really feels like it took a big leap forward during this section.
Power test number four is complete, and this update added one of my favorite areas of the factory so far. I built the rotating Christmas tree along with all of its decorations, the spinning mechanism underneath it, the enclosed section above it, and the chute system where the conveyor from the earlier section now feeds the toys through.
I did end up taking apart the upper section above the tree a couple of times because I wanted to reposition the lighting until it felt balanced. I think I finally found a setup that looks good without overpowering the rest of the scene.
I also spent a little extra time painting some of the exposed raw wood areas on the chute and upper sections, including the backside of the star. Those little finishing touches really helped clean up the overall look for me.
This build continues to be incredibly satisfying because every new section connects into something that was built earlier, so the whole factory keeps becoming more alive and interactive as it grows.
This is looking great @Kim_Kieffer . I have to frequently test it as I go with this kit to ensure that if there is problem, I can fix it straight away. Such a lovely kit to build
It’s coming along well. I hope you have plenty of lights to make it to the end as there are many who have fallen short not following instructions specifically.
