I will not start on my Seahorse Barque tonight after all. I was home late from work tonight because I had to paint some signs for the open day next Saturday.
I’m almost done, the last 2 will be done tomorrow.
But since I have mentioned builds from other brands in my previous posts or replies, I thought I could show them.
I made some book nooks and 1 castle, but to be honest I only enjoyed them a little. Almost everything needed to be glued and even though I consider myself patient, I did not do everything in the manual because I ran out of patience .
I’m glad I had some ROKR builds again afterward and look forward to build more kits.
Here are some photos of the book nooks and castle. Feel free to let me know why you think
In this one, the light does not work. I guess a bad connection in the wires. But I cannot reach it anymore. And to be fair I don’t want to try to fix it anymore
And last but not least, the biggest monstrosity of all. I thought it would be the most fun, but it really wasn’t
These were some cheap ones from a store here in Belgium (I bought all that were available at that time ) But the quality is minimal, there are no tools inside the kit. So I’m glad they’re done
I made some stencils out of printed words, cut them out. The first word did not work, but the ones on the picture are indeed very good and usable for Saturday.
This is an awesome and beautiful collection! I love how that one opens up and the greenery around the window is so cute. Awesome job on all of these, they are amazing!
Oh wow I really enjoyed looking at the other kits! I think you did an amazing job with them! I’m a very hands on person and I love older style kits where lots of glue is involved.
It sounds like you have been wonderfully busy between painting signs and exploring different builds. Your honesty about patience with gluing resonates with many crafters, and it is great that ROKR kits brought you joy afterward. Looking forward to seeing your Seahorse Barque when you start it!
No, I’m just going to leave it this way. Since everything is glued, I cannot reach the wiring. Also this was the first one of these cheaper kits I’ve made, so it has been a learning process as well. I knew better what I had to do with the lights of the following kits and got them all to work properly
