I finally finished the Afternoon Baking Time kit and am feeling really proud of this one since it turned out exactly how I wanted .
It was an adventure to get this kit lol. I went to three separate stores in order to find the old version as the two other stores only had the new version, felt like a game of hide and go seek
And when I finally opened the box the wood was a little warped (thank you Canadian weather). I’ve had issues with this problem for the other series 1 little and warm space kits as well.
Thankfully I was able to use superglue when sticking it to force the wood to be flatter. I think you can’t even notice the warping anymore. I also don’t know if it is noticeable but I had to buy another type of wire for the whisk since when I was cutting the original wire both pieces flew out of my hand and literally just disappeared into thin air.
But I like this way I put a lot of attention to detail in this kit I colour matched the dark brown paint so it looks seamless on the sides. And used silver paint instead of the pen it came with. I was also careful with glueing the walls and I think they came out perfectly at 90 degrees. This was a kit I really wanted so I wanted it to come out perfect!
Well this turned out great and glad that I could help in some way! I think it looks very cute and love the little details like the whisk, towel, and mitt!
It turned out great! Im glad you could find it! you did amazingly! I dont notice any warping either, candian weather sometimes its ruined a few christmas presents for me before lol!
Beautifully done! You definitely did an amazing job!
I hear you about warped pieces, I’ve encountered a few of them myself. And I’ve tried a lot of methods but can never seem to get them to work. Thankfully most of them aren’t noticeable.
I think some warping isn’t fixable. The Sweet Dream bedroom kit on the right is the first one I’ve ever did. Idk if the picture show it but the walls are superrr warped
I can see how much I’ve improved when putting them side by side
