This looks so good, Jerry! The weathered crate and old jerrycans add so much character to the vehicle, and honestly your first painted miniature figure turned out great!!! An oil wash sounds like a really nice idea to give it that older, more worn look. I have some miniature paints and weathering pencils that give that kind of effect too, and they’re really fun to play with

Oooh that’s cool!! have you tried metal models?? they have some sick models too!! also a post here and there won’t be that big of a problem :sob: we just miss your presence so much you’re one of the OGs

Crackle medium is applied between two coasts of contrasting acrylic paint. The top layer shrinks revealing the bottom layer of paint.

I think sanding might give it more of a weathered look. You’re right though that I should try it.
I’ve not heard of patreons for sharing things. It sounds like a nice idea.

Hi @Jerry_Boswijk, your handmade crate and custom ideas add so much character. It is always fun to see builders make a scene their own.

No i have not tried metal models. I have looked at them but somehow not really my thing. Im also thinking of trying to build a wooden boot model. Like a old fishing boat in a diorama or a pirate ship. They take very long to build but are also made from wood and i prefer wood over metal still. Im the og gangsta haha
