After beeing on holiday for a week with great sunny weather i came home yesterday while my girls where still in holiday.
I found some items in the mail of things i ordered off alieexpress.
I got some metall mesh i used to put into the window’s like in the mad max movies.
I added some more rust and also dirt on the front and sides and tyres like it would have been around for a while.
I will make a wooden crate on top and fill it with jerrycans.
Then i will start painting the 2 figures i have.
I also have multible ideas for a building i want to add of at least the fro t on one. Feeling so creative while doing this and a but frustrated as i didnt get the total result i wanted with this but it is the best i got at the moment.
I know how frustrating it is when sometimes our ideas don’t translate into practice, but I think you’re being hard on yourself. This looks absolutely amazing. I love what you’ve done with the mesh and the rusting looks authentic.
I’m glad that you’ve had a nice holiday. Now that you are rejuvenated and refreshed, you can put energy into this amazing build.
Hi Jerry_Boswijk, the metal mesh in the windows and all that extra rust really sell the weathered vehicle look. I love how you are already planning the crate, jerrycans, figures, and a building front around it. This kind of creative problem solving is exactly what makes a build feel alive!
No clue. Never made such a thing so probably weeks/months i don’t know. Also looking at laser cut kits. The one i posted are xps sheets where you have to cut all stones yourself and paint it all.
Ahh thank you, i am looking a lot of youtube for tips and techniques. I will also need to invest in better quality brushes and stuff. This is way more expensive then building standard kits
