Last weekend and today i had a lot of time to continue with my model. It is finally on its wheels. Started adding rust to the body. Not totally what i was hoping for my i learned a lot from the mostakes i made.
Now a week of rest and holiday and then back to it. Next will be adding dust and mud/sand to the wheels and bose and deciding what type of apocalyptic building to add.
It’s great to see how much progress you’ve made—getting the model on its wheels is such a milestone! Adding rust, even if it didn’t turn out exactly as you hoped, is still a big step because those “mistakes” are really just lessons that sharpen your technique for the next round.
Wow, Jerry, it’s really visible how much work you put into this model! Amazing, and I’m happy to hear you had a chance to build in peace. I hope you rest well next weekend and return to work on this one. I can tell that my friend is into mini models building and figurines and playing with them. He would really appreciate your craft here.
Jerry_Boswijk, this is such a fun direction for the build. The rust on the body already gives it a proper post apocalyptic vibe, and I love that you are using this week of rest to come back with fresh eyes. Dust, mud, sand, and an apocalyptic building sound like the perfect next layer of story telling!
It is a military vehicle. It doesn’t have a visible tailpipe. But i know what you mean. I plan on making more normal cars and trucks and will look into that.
Yeah i do need a break. My mind is already full of idead for the coming years i think haha. There are so much materials and techniques, the options are endless
Thank you so much. I’m learning to ignore the negative voices in my mind and keep going. I want to make progress faster then im going but i will improve with each step.
