Hi guys! I’m slowly working away on my Cheers bar and I think the end is finally in sight. Fingers crossed I’ll finish it in two weeks. I didn’t end up liking the tablecloth I picked earlier so I swapped it for a clean white one.
I’ve been focusing on all the tiny details and I’m honestly enjoying every moment. I assembled one of the walls and added all the little accessories to it.
I painted the decorative stand a shiny bronze, and I have to say I like it a lot more this way. Here are some cute little wooden barrels! The stickers wouldn’t stick well so I had to add glue.
Just look at the adorable drinks! It was honestly a blast making them, everything fit perfectly and I found them incredibly cute! My favorite had to be the tiny ice cubes that go into the wine bucket.
Now here’s where I start to complain. I was happily working through the instruction manual when I reached the part where I have to make 20 individual flowers. I thought it would be no big deal, the pieces are pre-cut, so it should be pretty simple.
I swear I stared at the paper for a full minute, completely confused by the empty space in front of me, until I finally accepted that I had somehow ended up with a slightly defective kit.
It’s pretty unusual but I think @Robotime might have slipped a bit in quality here. This is the second time I’ve found something in this kit that wasn’t fully laser-cut. But it’s not really a big issue, two missing flowers won’t make much of a difference.
I just found the whole experience too funny not to share.
My plants still turned out gorgeous! And I’ve saved a few to go in the little plant boxes for the windows.
It’s so rare to find missing pieces on the pre-cut paper out of thousand kits they’re producing. The flowers still look amazing. I love all your customization that you did.
JDisaduck, this is looking absolutely fantastic! That clean white tablecloth is such a smart choice, it really brightens up the space. We are all cheering you on to the finish line in two weeks, and can hardly wait to see if you solve the case of the missing flowers. Keep up the amazing work!
It looks amazing so far. I can imagine the feeling though, noticing that there are some pieces missing. But I guess you did great with the rest and nobody will actually miss the 2 missing flowers
Cute!! I’m really liking your little picture wall there, you’re so good at organizing stuff! That’s too bad about the flowers, I hope my kit isn’t like that when I get to it! My very first kit “Honey ice cream shop” had a couple small pieces where the cutting machine screwed up, so I had to get replacement parts for it! I wonder if Robotime could send you a picture of what’s supposed to be there and you could print it out and cut them out manually? Though, as you said, it’s only 2 plants so, meh .
Hahaha yeah I should’ve kept this kit as a collectible. There must’ve been something wrong with their laser calibration but luckily it’s just flowers so I’ll survive.
