Our third DIY & Crafting Club Meetup bloomed beautifully at the most fitting venue imaginable: a Lush Cosmetics store. Surrounded by the scent of florals and fresh ingredients, 15 makers gathered to build, bond, and bloom alongside their miniature kits.
Deep Dive
DIY & Crafting Club Meetup 03 - Blossom & Bubbles
April 12, 2026 | Square One Mall - Mississauga, GTA
There’s something about crafting with your hands in a space that’s also celebrating handmade, ethical, and beautifully scented creations. When Robotime generously made this workshop possible inside the Lush Cosmetics Square One location, the theme practically named itself: Blossom & Bubbles. Where miniatures come to life, and your skin gets to bloom a little too.
Talk about working with your hands
and then washing them off with something heavenly afterwards. ![]()

This meetup leaned fully into the season. Our tables were filled with the most floral lineup Kits & Materials
This meetup leaned fully into the season. Our tables were filled with the most floral lineup yet:

• Rowood DIY Wooden Flower Bouquet 3D Wooden Puzzle (TW01H) - a gorgeous 581-piece bouquet with sunflowers, roses, lilacs, camellias, and more
• Rowood Wooden Flower Basket DIY 3D Puzzle (TW03H) - a charming basket overflowing with handcrafted blooms
• Rolife Fresh Flower Shop DIY Miniature House (DW017B) - a modular, stackable miniature flower boutique complete with blooms, display tables, and charming shop decor
• Rolife Blooming Tea Garden DIY Miniature House (DW013B) - because what says blossom more than flowers and tea together?
Finger cots were on standby for the smaller pieces, and the double-sided tape gave a few people a run for their money (you are not alone, friends!). The kits were as perfectly in-season as a spring farmers market.
The Blossom & Bubbles Theme
Robotime’s generosity in hosting this workshop inside Lush was something truly special. Lush Square One’s space and staff made the atmosphere everything, calm, fragrant, and alive with creativity. The Blossom & Bubbles theme was a natural fit: both Lush and Robotime celebrate making things with your hands, using beautiful materials, and slowing down to enjoy the process.
Guests received floral-themed bath bombs and soaps to take home, because what’s a blossom workshop without a little pampering?
And because good crafters deserve good snacks, we had yummy treats to go, with the crowd favourite being the juice boxes (yes, the juice boxes stole the show and nobody is apologizing for it ![]()
).
Angels on Bare Skin - A Perfect Pairing
One of the highlights of being inside a Lush store? Getting hands-on with one of their all time classics: Angels on Bare Skin. This beloved fresh facial cleanser has been around since 1995 and is made with ground almonds, kaolin clay, vegan glycerine, lavender oil, rose absolute, and chamomile oil. All natural, preservative-free, and incredibly gentle on skin. You mix a small pinch with water in your palm, and it transforms into a soft paste that exfoliates, deep cleanses, and calms the skin in one go.
The reason it fit perfectly into Blossom & Bubbles? It smells like a garden in springtime, it’s made with lavender flowers and rose petals, and it is hands-on from the very first use. Just like our kits, it’s proof that the best things are the ones you make (or mix) yourself. ![]()
Workshop Highlights
•Tyler absolutely crushed it and finished his build within the two-hour window. That kind of focus deserves a standing ovation ![]()
•Everyone took part in trivia and walked away with prizes, competitive crafters are still crafters!
•The Lush staff were incredible! Calm, helpful with cleanup, and genuinely lovely to work with throughout the whole afternoon
•People actually walked into the store mid-workshop, got curious about what was happening, and signed up to join the community on the spot. That never gets old
•We did attendee interviews and the consensus was clear: everyone had a genuinely wonderful time
A special shoutout to @Sydney.mcmullin for joining us and bringing a friend along. That’s the best kind of word-of-mouth there is! ![]()
And we have a very special guest to mention: @Alene, one of the librarians who spotted Meetup 02 in action and decided she had to come try it for herself. She made it, she built, she belonged. That is exactly what this community is all about.
Welcome, Alene!
Thank you @breebree for the awesome REVIEW ![]()
@Robotime_Addiction, you showed up again and made the room even better for it. Thank you for being a constant in this little creative world we’re building.

Closing Thoughts
Two hours sounds short. And honestly? It flies. But somewhere between the lavender scent in the air, the juice boxes, the trivia, the blossoming miniatures, and the new friendships forming at every table. It turned into something that felt much bigger than a two-hour block on a Sunday.
11 out of 15 participants were brand new to the workshop. Eleven new people who came in curious and left inspired, with a little kit to take home and a community waiting for them when they’re ready to build again.
This is my second workshop, and I already know it won’t be the last. Thank you to @Robotime for making Blossom & Bubbles possible, to Lush Square One for opening your space and your hearts, and to every single person who showed up with open hands and an open mind.
We are just getting started. Stay tuned for what’s blooming next. ![]()
With Love,
