🎯 [DIY & Crafting Club Meetup 01 - Thunder Bay, Canada] Meet-Up Was A Success! 🫂

Hey everyone!

Im excited to say the entire event went great in my opinion! Everyone had fun, they giggled about lots of things and working with eachother to find pieces or to help one another with steps to putting things together. Sadly 5 people couldnt come because of a flu going around my city.

Almost every participant had a buddy doing the same build, except for one person. The guys worked together and finished there guns before the 2h mark. They loved it, and want to finish the gun series. They never thought these could be so cool! The ladies helped one another out with Starry Night and the Puppy Villa’s. Once they started, they were having so much fun and really building friendships. I asked everyone if they’ll continue doing the kit or even continue making Robotime products in the future, they all said Yes! One person finished there build an hour after they got home and sent me photos :heart_hands:

During the event, quite a few people came up and asked about the event and what Robotime is. They’ve never heard of it before. I was glad to show everyone some of the kits, and I explained to them about the community and company. I left the QR code out for people to use.

In the end, everyone had big smiles on there face and everyone came out as friends.

Heres all the materials:

And heres some photos from the event! :heart_hands:

A bit of gun making action here: :water_pistol::water_pistol:

Everyone was so focused!

2 people had to sadly leave half an hour early so I made sure i got there photo:

@Emma_Samchek this was fun and exciting to read from start to finish! You can truly feel how much care, heart, and intention you put into hosting this workshop, and it shows in every detail you shared. From the laughter and teamwork to people stepping in to help one another, it sounds like such a warm and genuinely connected experience. Even the way you noticed how friendships started forming as the builds came together speaks volumes about the environment you created.

I love how you highlighted the different dynamics too. The guys teaming up and powering through the gun builds, surprising themselves with how cool and engaging the kits were, and the ladies easing into Starry Night and Puppy Villa, supporting each other and really settling into the creative flow. That’s such a beautiful reminder that these kits meet people where they are, but also bring them together in ways they don’t expect. The fact that someone finished their build at home and immediately sent you photos says everything about how inspired they were.!

It’s also amazing that so many people who had never heard of Robotime before were curious, stopped to ask questions, and got introduced to the brand and community through your event. Leaving the QR code out, showing the kits, and sharing what Robotime is all about turned this into more than just a workshop, it became a gateway into something bigger. And ending the day with everyone smiling and leaving as friends is honestly the best possible outcome.

You didn’t just host an event, you created memories, sparked creativity, and built connections that will clearly last beyond that day. Reading this makes me even more excited for my own workshop in Mississauga on February 1. If it’s even half as meaningful and joyful as what you created in Thunder Bay, I’ll be thrilled.

So proud of you, and so grateful you shared this experience with all of us. Here’s to bigger rooms, more builds, and many more workshops ahead :white_heart::sparkles:

@Orangesareus Girl youre gonna make me cry! (Good way though) Everything you said really went to heart for me :heart_hands: I tried my absolute best, im really glad it shows. I’ve always wanted to be a change in my community somehow and this is how I’ll do it. Bringing people together in love, passion and kindness; a happier community for my city. My city never has anything like this happen, so when people saw it they lit up. That light really helps my light burn brighter. I’ll keep doing my best  Im excited for your workshop in February! I know you’ll do amazing! Look at you in this community, you popped in and just started helping. You shared your builds and memories which led to friendships quickly. You’ll host an amazing workshop, I know it! Heres definitely to a bigger room, more builds and many more workshops Cheers! :clinking_glasses:

This looks like so much fun! You did a great job with your meetup. I am in awe that you had so many guys there. Just because I think a lot of men would not be much into “creativity”. I just love everything about this post. Congratulations!
