🎯 [DIY & Crafting Club Meetup 01 - Barcelona, Spain] A Day to Remember

I’m still riding the excitement from yesterday and just had to share how our Barcelona (Spain) meetup went. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish!!!

We had 19 people building kits plus 4 companions, so it was a big group. I was very nervous at first, but thankfully I had help, especially from my husband, because doing this alone would have been impossible. Since we were so many, I organised the introductions and explanations in small groups. We had three different Christmas-themed kits (Christmas Candy Stand, Santa on Sleigh, and Christmas Town), so when people arrived and signed in, they received a number and a voucher they could exchange for a drink. Each kit also had a matching number, which made distributing them much easier.

Every kit was handed out with a cutting mat and the tools that Robotime had previously sent me, which everyone found incredibly useful. We also had small containers on the tables with superglue (my great ally!) and white glue, just in case. After a short introduction to Robotime, what each kit included, and a quick guide on how to read the instructions, everyone got straight to building.

At first there were lots of questions, and again, having help was key, but they understood everything very quickly, and once they got going, the event flowed beautifully. I spent the afternoon moving between tables, helping when needed, chatting about different kits, showing some finished builds I had brought along, and sharing little tips as people needed them. For those building the Christmas Candy Stand, I’d also brought batteries to test the lights, and luckily, they all worked perfectly!

After almost three hours of building, two people managed to fully finish their Christmas Town kits. The rest took their kits home to complete them, and two of them, @Andriu and @Cristina, had already shared a post of the meetup. Seeing that was such a joy!

It was a truly memorable day. Everyone left happy, proud of what they had built, and many already have new kits in mind as Christmas gifts. I can’t thank @Robotime enough for this incredible opportunity and for trusting me to organise and manage this event, something I did with so much care and love.

I really hope to organise another one in the future. Even with the nerves, I adored every moment of it. Sharing this hobby is something truly special. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart
