Hey everyone! I wanted to share a little progress update on my ROKR Christmas Dream Gift Factory build. This set is tedious in the best possible way, it keeps you fully engaged, and the tiny details really make the bigger picture come alive and feel so vibrant.

I’ve definitely had a few mishaps along the way (turns out positioning certain parts exactly right matters… a lot :sweat_smile:). But honestly, it’s been a great lesson in patience. I tend to build non-stop once I sit down, so learning to slow down and enjoy the process has been really rewarding.

I’m currently on page 20/50, and the next timeI sit on it, I’m intentionally going to take it slower so I can appreciate every little detail of the journey.

not sure if the yellow box here is meant to go down at this stage when turned on…. I might need to wax it more, just gonna wait for the next pieces to come together!

Sanding is just as important as waxing. It is a MUST! Hope you are being diligent with the sanding before waxing.

@Nita_Davis Ahahah I am very OCD with my build tbh, I sand every burr and bits that can come off, even paper I sand because I like em’ smooth! :relieved_face:

That’s great to hear. I am OCD about my painting as well. Raw edges bother me.

It’s looking amazing, and it’s a hell of a progress for one day! It’s looking nice and smoothly so far. I hope my tips were of help!

Did you also wax the entire right side of the yellow box? Just like the left side of the gray device? Make sure all the pieces are pressed in properly, and it should be fine. :wink: You’ve done well so far!

I bit the bullet and ordered but I am unsure I will do right away. I may wait. I am excited to do this yet nervous. Keep me posted!

@jeanneL IM SO EXCITED FOR YOUUUUUU , its definitely challenging that most regular kits but the pay off is amazing. If the wax doesnt sit well (cold room etc..) use powder!

I used a silky powder to help with friction, Inused my Laura Mercier Face Powder. But there should be other options, i just used what i have :stuck_out_tongue:

best is to use talcum powder like the ones you use for baby’s
