I felt like I was making great progress until I saw I still have 20+ pages to go.
Good news, all the electric and gear tests are going well. No issues. I have gotten as far as placing the tree. I have done a little bit of painting but not tons. I really think things should be more shiny so have done some metallic. Here is my progress thus far:
Excellent job. Be careful. Installing the tree is a bit tricky. I struggled there. Wax AND sandpaper.

That is working. Got as far as the two pieces on top. and snapped in. My next step is placing the sign thing on top - Raw stock

Attaching the conveyor belt will also be a bit of a challenge so… more fun times ahead.

Wax is DEFINITELLY your friend in this kind of build, but if I remember correctly you’re almost done with it. Great job so far!

I think the sentence use wax liberally is now engrained in my head. 
Did you paint the edges too?

I did get both belts on as well as tree and did a test. It worked thus far! all were moving well

I have been use a wood lubricant. Hoping that works as well!
I still have 20+ pages to go I think! and the whole upper levels. I think much of the scary stuff is done. @TheToday
LOL I capitalized it! I am trying to catch and paint parts that show. I wanted brighter colors, especially the reds and greens. Those have a lot of the fine gold lines though and I hate to cover those. I have a gold pen but it still isnt as fine as those lines

Yeah, I remember this part! Most of the intricately is done, you’re almost into the “let’s decorate everything” final stage 
Yeah! Except that probably means a bit more painting. I am working carefully so this is taking a little longer than usual but I am ok with that @TheToday
I see! I’m trying to take inspiration for when I build mine. But it is hard to visualise until you’re actually building it.
There are times I couldn’t really tell’s what’s been painted and what hasn’t.
