I have completed the renovation of my A-frame cabin…and I think this is my new favorite mini house. I made a LOT of changes on this one.
I replaced every picture in the house and even put pictures on both sides so that they could be seen from the outside.
I restained all pieces of raw wood with a bit darker stain.
I painted exterior roof, the cutest little mini fridge EVER, all of the rugs, sheets, pillows and throws (except for the bedspread).
As for furnishings, I painted the couch, dining table and chairs, front porch cushion, coffee table
I added a plant where there was so much room left on the bay window.
NOW I will tackle the fishing rods and holder that I will place on the outside of the home. I plan to use floral wire, black twine, fishing line, craft sticks, cocktail picks, hooks and eyes. I even found some tiny yellow beads to use for bobbers.
I hope you enjoy the pics. The color is actually arbor green but appears such a plain bright green in some photos.
Congratulations. Hardly anything remains the same as the original. You’ve completely transformed the design, and in my opinion it looks great. It’s a fresh and different perspective. Well done
Thanks so much @Levomini . I’ve done complete transformations on many of my models (Space Shuttle, Gingerbread House, London Travel marble run, Cuckoo Clock …Just to name a few. I think my favorite complete renovation is the one I did on Elsa’s tailoring. 👍 [Rolife DIY & Creativity] Elsa's tailoring completed 😊
WOW!!!
This is absolutely incredible, @Nita_Davis!! The level of customization and love you put into this cabin really shows. It’s no surprise it’s your new favorite… it’s a total masterpiece!
I’m really curious about the final result! A fishing net and fishing rod would complete this structure. It must have been a lot of work to make it so small.
