Yesterday i got the wheels painted and the tracks. I also added some splashed mud on it and experimented with a spray can if grey primer for the dome of the tank. Spraying is way harder then it looks.
So many times i felt like quiting and throwing the tank in the trash but i am happy with how it is turning out.
It’s (insert colourful word) fantastic!!
You are inspiring me Jerry. When I was a child, my younger brother used to build trucks from these kits. He would spend hours doing them. He is no longer with us, and my niece has all his trucks still on display. This is why I wanted to get the wooden one so badly.
Anyway, the point of this rambling comment is to tell you that you have inspired me to try a truck model in the future as a way to remember my brother.
I am loving your progress so far!
I’m sure it will turn out well. I also feel frustrated sometimes with certain pieces but once you assemble all together, that’s where you will see the beauty!
Can’t wait to see how this goes. Keep it up!
The grit and mud look fantastic! Modeling is 50% building and 50% problem-solving, and you’re clearly winning the fight!! The grey primer adds so much depth to the ROKR wood. I’m so glad you didn’t give up! Can’t wait to see the finished beast!
ahh im touched. when you do and need tips you can always contact me. im still at the start of my learning fase. i am curious to see pictures of his models
thanks, in this model world they are very insistent on using the correct colours of the correct time so i am trying to keep as close to the original as possible
exactly. im very experienced in wooden models but this is a totally new world and starting with such a small model isn’t the easiest way to start but it is also to overcome my inner critic haha
