[Challenge & Achievement] Star Workshop All Done Lights On and Details Complete

This is not a Rolife kit, but I still wanted to share my full experience with it now that it’s complete.

This build definitely leans toward the more intense side, but I didn’t run into any real trouble along the way. It stayed enjoyable the whole time, which says a lot for something with this many parts and details.

One of the standout features for me is the unicorn ore cart. It’s completely separate from the main build and has a small arm that lifts up and down to lock it in place. I love that I didn’t have to glue it down and can leave it movable. That’s such a unique touch and not something I see very often in kits.

There are so many star elements and little angels throughout the entire build, and that theme really carries everything together. The blue ore gems were another fun detail because I could place them wherever I wanted, which added a bit of creativity instead of just following exact placements.

I also really appreciated the power switch detail. It’s designed as a small star, which fits the theme perfectly. There is an optional sticker you can add with a traditional power symbol, but honestly I preferred leaving that off since the star looks so much better.

My biggest issue was with the paper parts. They’re used around curved rooflines and edges, which makes sense for flexibility, but they’re just too thin. It made those sections feel a little fragile and harder to work with than they needed to be.

The most frustrating part was the large star smasher piece above the ore belt. The sticker for that section was nearly impossible to apply without wrinkles, and since it’s such a visible feature, that was disappointing.

I did have a small whoops moment with the giant moon. There are fairy lights behind it, and I missed adding the frosted acrylic layer underneath the printed piece. Without it, the lighting just didn’t look right. Thankfully I caught it pretty quickly, and it was easy to fix.

As usual, I ended up with one extra piece at the end, which is always my signal to double check. Luckily this time it was something simple to correct, just a sticker on an outer edge.

Overall though, I had a really good time with this one. It’s detailed, a little different from the usual builds, and has some unique features that made it stand out.

Here is a link to the video. Finished!

Have you ever gotten to the end of a build and realized one small piece completely changed how something looked?

You’re so welcome! I always try to give an honest take on the hard parts—that’s what makes it actually helpful. I really love sharing what I’ve learned, so thanks for letting me know it landed!
