Step into another world. A world of cosmic wonders and delights. Where the night sky is brought alive to the human eye.
Welcome to the Magic Astronomy Shop.
Measuring just 11cm x 8.5xm this little build is full of interesting objects.
Opening the box and laying out the contents, I thought that this would be an easy build.
Although it took me roughly 3.5 hours over two evenings, it wasn’t all plain sailing.
The wood is quite thin on some parts and although there was one or two extras of parts. I needed to repair one because there wasn’t another for me to use.
First step was creating the small parts that make up the window display.
This was fun but a little fussy - particularly putting the gold parts around the beads. Happily, I bought some adhesive remover wipes that actually work!!
Next, we put the walls in. I really love that the shop is divided into three parts.
The next part took a little time because fitting the curved pieces into the wood and getting it to stay there was not an easy job. B7000 to the rescue.
Then came placing the window frames.
This is where I needed the extra parts. A little too much pressure is not a good thing.

Next came more curves on the roof. These were a little easier to fit.
Finally, we put it all together and it is simply gorgeous.
Pros:
- A nice quick build. Great for a palette cleanser between bigger builds
- It’s soooo cute
- It won’t take up a lot of room on the shelves
- A great beginner kit to build
Cons: - The wood around the windows is thin and pressure in the wrong place is disastrous and may cause cussing
- More replacement parts of the struts would be great
Overall; this is a great build. I can’t wait to do the other two that I have in this series.
Next up, is another non-Rolife kit.
I also have to start making a lot of smaller builds for the stall in May.
