[Challenge & Achievement] Space Shuttle - step 2-3

Today, I have build a little on a DIY kit, Together with my mom.

But I went home early and also build a little on my space shuttle. I have completed 2 steps since they both weren’t that much and I was really in a good flow.

I have build some more on the base: part of the launch system and a little more wiring. I only struggled with 1 thing and that was removing the connection from one of the moving electronics from the circuit board. But I got it done, normally without any damage and I could connect it again properly after assembling the pieces to the base.

Tomorrow I will move onto step 4. I probably will only get that step done tomorrow since it is a lot. With that step I will have to test again as well, so I’m really looking forward to that moment. :hugs:

But first a good night sleep and a day of work to go.

It’s wonderful that you got to build a little DIY kit with your mom—that must have been such a sweet bonding moment. And then continuing with your Space Shuttle build shows how much momentum you’ve got right now.

@Minus_88 that sounds like a very satisfying bit of progress, especially getting the moving electronics connection handled without damage. Testing as you go is such a good habit for a build like the Space Shuttle. Hope step 4 gives you that rewarding test moment you are looking forward to.

I did. I went there at noon. We had lunch together. An while my dad was watching a KISS concert on tv, my mom and I were building in the kitchen and talking. It was a nice afternoon.

Yes I will always test enough when making a mechanical build and all the electrics are attached. If something is not working properly, you can find it in time and solve it.

Thank you @Nita_Davis with such a nice kit it is really the best to not overdo it and don’t build too much at once. At least for me. And I also don’t want to run out of kits too soon either

Yes, it was a nice moment together, she is helping me with the parts I don’t have enough patience for  since there are a lot.

Thank you @ThaoNguyen I try to keep it 1 step at the time though. Yesterday I did 2 as both steps weren’t that much work.

That is wonderful @Smith42, all the time we get to spend with our parents should be treasured. I have seen on both sides that 1 of their parents died at a fairly young age, so I want to make the most of the time I have with them.
