This was definitely one of the most challenging build that I have ever done so far. Since it’s an earlier version, instructions were not that clear especially on the placements of flowers. The board on this kit is quite thin and is prone to chipping so it’s really advisable to cut small pieces with a precision cutter. Spare pieces are also not marked, so you need to have a good eye to check if there are any.
And my frustrations didn’t end there because my last hurdle was adding the plastic cover on top. No matter how much I change the angle/arrangement, it just won’t fit the way it should be. I ended up taping it to the top so it won’t fall.
And just when I have finished attaching the top panel, I then realized that c35 paper was not used. I checked the instructions many times but there was no mention about this piece. I do believe that it should go on one of the side panels but it is already too late for me to glue it. So I just let it be since it was not that obvious.
It sounds as if you really struggled with some of this but the book still looks great. I would have taped down the clear plastic as well, so I’m certainly not going to say anything about that.
Hi @Jill_Francisco, you pushed through so many tricky parts on Sakura Densya and the final book nook still looks beautiful. The roof and river details really shine after all that patience!
