I just had a few more steps to do to complete the marble run. So I got to it when I got home this morning.
No more broken pieces, a little more coloring and when I plugged it in and turned it on…..
It worked!
The only thing that does not work properly, is the passage through the London bus. A marble gets stuck in there. Luckily when a second one wants to go in there as well, the marble moves forward onto the next part of the course. So I think I will keep it like this and not try to solve things, risking to break something after all.
About building this kit: I found this one easier than the other marble runs I did so far. I guess because it is more sturdy than the other ones.
I think I used the right amount of color to make it stand out, but to not overdo it.
For the rest of the day, I will enjoy the nice weather and work a little in the garden and watch some series tonight. Tomorrow I might start working on the Seahorse Barque of which I will of course share some progress posts.
It turned out beautiful! I’m so happy that everything works so good. I would leave that bus alone as well. There is always the risk of making something worse by trying to ‘fix’ it.
Thank you! And yes, I wouldn’t want to break anything at this point anymore. In the end it is all working without too serious hiccups, so I’m more than satisfied with this build.
For using colors for the first time, I think everything went well. Not all colored parts are perfect, but it might go better the next time I decide to add color to a kit
Thank you! I found it difficult to choose the colors though, there are so many beautiful colors, but I wouldn’t want too many different ones. So I guess I chose well for this one and stuck to the right colors.
