Time to come out of my self chosen exile, which believe me, I had good reasons for. It’s time to show you what I have built during my leave of absence from the community.
Rokr: Cuckoo Clock
What a fun build this was! Challenging as well, but everything works like it should. I did turn the cuckoo sound off because it was driving me nuts lol, and it is a pretty loud noise. For the fun of it I still press the button sometimes to make it come out.
Ugears: Star Wars: Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Starfighter
Cheating on Robotime again with Ugears. Again a Star Wars model, and this one can be connected to the TIE Fighter. Pretty fun build, the parts are more delicate than mentioned previous one, and obviously just like the TIE, it swings. Last pic shows all three models together.
Rokr: Classic City Train
Going back to Rokr again, I decided to buy this one. A very fun build with lots of little details. Might even look better with paint, but I have zero patience for that. Nonetheless, I liked this one!
Rokr: Viking Dragon Ship
I got this build as a gift from @Jerry_Boswijk, which I truly and utterly appreciate a lot. Met this bearded, tough guy at a meeting in the village of Stramproy, together with @Liset, some hole in the south of The Netherlands near the Belgian border ![]()
Anyway, back to my opinion on this build. I… Have a bit of a mixed feelings about it. It has many large and rough pieces of wood and in my opinion, it does not look detailed enough for me. Having said that, I do like how it moves. I also connected this to a timer just like I previously did with the Voyager, so both will turn on in the evening.
Rokr: Classical Gramophone
I have not seen this one around much yet just here, and it was unavailable for quite some time. This is my current build and not yet fully finished. I hope it will all work as it should in the end. Might even buy some records like Rammstein or something, just for the fun of it ![]()
I have already bought my next project which will be Robotime’s/Rokr’s Mechanical Typewriter, which I previously bought for @Liset… But decided later to buy it for myself as well. And upon opening this box, and looking at all the parts… This is going to be quite challenging ![]()
