No ‘spin the wheel’ this time. I only had the Eternal Atlantic Voyager aka Titanic and the harp to choose from.
Since I was not really in the mood for choosing colors and decorating, I decided to leave the harp for now and start my Titanic kit.
I already saw multiple posts of people who have built this one, and I will be reading them again to make sure I know where most of the difficulties can be found in this kit. Hopefully I can complete it without too much of a struggle.
I did not have that much time to build tonight. I had a doctors appointment, had dinner at my parents because my mom accompanied me to the hospital. When I got home I did a little garden work because my dad will come and mow the lawn tomorrow . I took a bath and that left me with 45 minutes of building time, as it is time to go to bed now.
That being said, I started and I got 1 full step done. Which is better than no building at all .
I had to test the lights and to my satisfaction they worked just fine. And after that I had to build the base on which the ship will be resting. No big struggles so far. Just some sanding to fit some pieces easier. I know there will be harder things to come and that this was not yet a challenge, but I’m just glad I got to build something and I’m looking forward to continue the building process. Since I won’t be home tomorrow night, the next progress update will be for Friday.
And Saturday, my first ever meetup. I’m just finalizing preparations for this one and hope to make it a wonderful afternoon.
This looks like so much fun to build, im sure yours is gonna come out amazing!! I can’t wait to see. Also I hope you have a wonderful meetup this weekend, I can’t wait to read the recap. I’m sure everyone is going to have a great time
Hi @Minus_88, getting one full step done after such a packed day still counts as real progress. It is lovely to see you starting the Eternal Atlantic Voyager and testing the lights before the bigger challenges begin. Wishing you a wonderful first meetup on Saturday, and we will be excited for the Friday update!
This week is really not fun at all . A lot of things to be done, a sick colleague in my team at work so a lot more work for me. I have started 30 minutes early each day. And worked 1,5h late on Monday and Tuesday.
So I’m very glad that I had made some time to start this kit.
Thank you @Sasa . I will have to temporarily store it in the attic as well once it is finished. Just until I get a nice cabinet to showcase all my kits.
