👍 [Beginner Tips] Wiring lights

I forgot that i took this short video yesterday to show how i connect my light wires to the battery box.

When i first did these kits i struggled with the lights and i think it was because i was being too careful trying to twist the wires and wasnt getting a strong enough connection.

Im sure many of you have this perfected, hopefully its helpful for anyone new

All i do is strip the ends, put them together and twist them :ok_hand:

And then i use electrical tape not heat shrink to cover the exposed wires because its just easier imo.

You can use a fair bit of pressure, you want them to be pretty tight

No problem :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I agree! The newer kits come with it now. I find it a lot more user friendly

Thanks for sharing this tip :hugs: i did the same when i made my first miniature house

Thanks for sharing. I haven’t try using electrical tape but wasn’t a fan of the heat tube. Was afraid I might get burn and some with white colour so when I heat it with a lighter it get Smokey black.

I do the same. Only used heat shrinking tubes ones

Same! someone suggested a heat gun like used in crafting embossing etc. I think I would feel safer with that!
