I’m not a big fan of the glue dots, but when I did need to use them or the double sided tape, the biggest peeve is when the backing that you remove sticks to every part of you when you try to drop it into the trash. I have found them sticking to places I won’t mention. lol. So, my fix is putting a piece of painters tape upside down on my workbench. Those little pieces of backing come of my fingers and stick to the tape…and I don’t have to struggle with them! I’m sure any type of tape will do, I just happened to have painters tape with my stained glass supplies next to me. Now I don’t dread using double sided tape in the few occasions that I need it. ![]()

I hate the dots. I throw them out and just use lglue instead.
This is a very useful tip! Thanks for sharing ![]()
@Jerry_Boswijk i hate them too! I was only using them to tape patterns onto fabric to cut out. It helps a lot.
I’ll use google.image to search. I have seen it on alieexpress a while ago.
@Jerry …saw what? Ohhh, I think this was in regard to my mansion build.![]()
This is very useful tip. Thank for share
Ahahaha I do not like them at all ahahaha, very rare I would use them, I have o problem with peeling I just find they dont stick so well… in comparison with actual glue
One day all the collected glue dots I will find a use ahahaha
Wahaha same experience.
I’m also having a hard time throwing those dots in the trash can because they keep sticking on my hands. Thank you for the tips.
That’s a really good idea @Tkaplan else those dots will really follow you wherever you go ![]()
I use these glue dots all the time and want to find out how to get more. I like that I can peel them off after and leave no residue. They are really tiny and fit under the feet of most figures, a good trick for making them stand when they wont. Also great for holding things like tiny stemwear, wrap around the stem and characters hands can stick to it. Never touch them with skin as your oils will ruin them. I use tweezers for them.
Haha yep
using tape is really clever because the strips get stuck to my tweezers. I’ve done projects that were not Rolife that were entirely sticky strips and it was such a pain to try to get the strip to drop in the bag so I could move on to the next 50.
Hahahahah, it’s so amusing to me that the majority dislike the glue dots and the leftovers after using them.
I actually very much enjoy using them
, especially for parts like booknook armchairs or even the marble run that I will write about soon when i will have more free time.
But I always have a small desk bin and just throw away the dots after use, so no big issue with them ![]()
Ahhh I’m with you I hardly use the dots but I keep a little paper box next to me to collect rubbish but somehow I still find random dots on the carpet.
Tape is probably a good idea! ![]()
Yes, those little dots sure do get everywhere. I use a lint roller. You have to do something to keep track of those for sure. I noticed that there’s static on mine and that just putting them in a little trash bin they would end up sticking to me still so the tape/lint roller really works great.
Fantastic idea. I hate how bits of the double sided tape stick to my fingers too.
Thanks for sharing. I tends to use this dots when I can as well. Yes, it doesn’t stick very well for some of the parts. But it will đó thế job for those with flat surfaces.
Such a simple idea and so effective. I’m definitely trying this next time, those backing pieces have a mind of their own!
@Wenbare yes they sure do!
