Today I bought a kit and found out Rolife also has kits that actually require painting and cutting shapes. I did not know that and was pretty dissapointed.
I wanted to introduce my family doctor her assistent to the wonderful world of ROKR/Rolife and starting of with a kit that needs painting and cutting did not seem like a good idea.
She seemed to like the Book nooks or interiors with lights. Not the ROKR technical ones with gears and movement.
So my question is what was your first kit and what would you suggest for a first timer, in hindsight? As she is an acquaintance and not a dear friend I don’t and really can’t spend too much on a kit.
That’s such a thoughtful idea — introducing her to the world of Rolife and ROKR! I’d recommend the Super Creator kits or the ROKR flowers — they’re beginner-friendly, quick to assemble, and look beautiful when finished. For a Book Nook, I’d suggest one of the newer ones, since they’re more click-together. Perfect for someone just getting started!
My first was the Baking Kitchen. It was a new version so mostly snap together. I loved it so much I did more. Like you I did not know there were different versions so my next one was like yours. I worked through it though!
What I found was this, if the writing of the build title is swirly ( almost cursive) it is an older version with more cutting and glueing.
The flowers are a good idea but if it’s to simple for you, I think it can be a Super Creator kit, like that, you have the miniature concept without the complicated parts as cut hard things and glue
